I am..

.. a final year student (yesssss last semester woohoo!!) at a local university in Singapore.

.. a sister to 4 other amazing sisters.

.. an instagram fan who can spend hours insta-hopping.

.. in love with details and all things random.
(As seen above, even sewage covers get my attention - http://instagr.am/p/VJo5m/ )

.. self-convinced that photos will bring out the best memories to almost anyone.

Cinnamon Biscotti

Egg Benedict

Stack of heart-shaped pancakes / with blueberry honey

Lemon spinach pasta

Potato rosti and sauteed mushrooms

Mushroom, spinach (and minced meat) wrapped in cheesy omelette

.. not a cook nor connoisseur. I just really love to eat (and can eat a lot too). I think my record stands at six full plates of pasta in one sitting. The above are some of the things that I've cooked :)

The red pins mark the spot!

.. extremely fortunate to be able see so many different parts of the world in 2011. I am probably still experiencing reverse culture shock right now. But I guess all of this will soon be over. Singapore is still home to me and the world is also waiting to be explored.
(Btw, the world's such an amazing work of art!)

.. crazy for froyo     |m|_   yo yo yo yo yo   _|m|

.. not an expert at paraphrasing. In fact, just the opposite.

.. brilliant at telling grandmother-long-stories. I am expressive.

.. also very good at digressing when blogging.

.. a complete sucker for smiley faces. In real life and even emoticons.

.. in love with people. I would call me "a people person". I really hope to work with people and ideas instead of staring blankly at a block of Java codes.

.. an optimist with only a tiny hint of pessimism.

.. willing to do many crazy things just to see people smile / make them laugh.

Finally!
I am also the hands, brains, heart, eyes and everything-you-name-it behind Sensibar.

making many plans for the future of my baby!  I don't "anyhow" make a piece of jewellery/accessory to put it out on sale. I create ideas and sentiments from my heart, through my hands. I am sometimes like a 'transformer' who translates thoughts and feelings into something wearable; something that tells a story.

Started proper with all of these jewellery-making in early 2007 when I realised how much I enjoyed doing so (and also realised how boring it was to just keep mugging!). Starting a 'blogshop' was definitely the most energy draining kind of work.. yet never did I once regret the amount of time spent on sourcing for materials, piecing them together, taking pictures of them, putting them on sale, mailing, post-sales service etc.
Sensibar's like a crazy one (wo)man show from start to finish. I looked to this like it's my baby. Somewhat like a mother feeling proud of her child. Something really close to that. SO HOW CAN I LET MY CHILD GO LIKE THAT!? no way at all..

That's me being real proud of my child.
That's also me being real proud of being a 'transformer'.

I hate how I couldn't set my mind, heart (and timetable :/ ) straight in the past year to get Sensibar moving :( But I will definitely make things right again. Can't wait to get started! Ideas go overload in my mind every single day!

Right now, I just need to:
  1. Graduate
  2. Calm down
  3. Plan
If you happen to be a customer-turned-into-friend reading this, I sincerely want to thank you for the love and personal stories that you have always shared in the emails. You would know that Sensibar was not exclusively a marketplace for product sales. Sensibar unexpectedly turned out to be my marketplace for meeting new souls and making new friends. Thank you for being so amazing :)

Okay, I shall end this "teeny weeny introduction about myself" now.
(Well, I already confessed that I am expressive!)

Thanks for reading :)

In case you're also wondering, I am not the Singapore national bowler / sports girl Jazreel Tan. We just happen to have the same name and are of the same age.
